Inquiring To Learn
This term Room 8 have been learning about our concept 'Inquirying to Learn'. Our Powerful Learning Behaviour of Curiosity is driving our concept this term. We started with many different immersion activities centered around the nature of science. These included: growing plants, making jelly, making ooblek, making tornadoes, making lemonade,looking at stars and constellations, floating and sinking of objects and melting and freezing of water.
Here are some of our wondering questions we have come up with to build on from these activities:
How do you get power out of a lemon? - Che What generates electricity? - Paulo What causes things to explode? - Braeden How do you become a scientist? - Shontaine What is the science behind making sweets? - Farheen How was space created and what is a black hole? - Dylan What different chemicals are mixed together to make liquids and solids? - Natalie.
