Board of Trustees (2016 - 2019)

Annette Gage

Chairperson

Kia Ora. My name is Annette Gage and I am excited and proud to be a parent representative on the Board of Trustees for Pomaria for a second term. Over the last three years I have learnt a huge amount about how the school functions and I feel privileged to be a part of such a learner focussed and progressive school. I work part time as a midwife at National Women's Hospital which is a job I love and on the days I am not at work I like to spend some time at school. I have three children. Henry is enjoying his first year at Henderson intermediate, my other two children currently attend Pomaria and love it as much as I do.

Yours Annette

Hi, my name is Jackie and my whanau reign from the beautiful Hokianga area in the far north. I attended Pomaria Primay along with my three of my siblings some years ago. We have lived in West Auckland for over 30 years and i'm proud to be called a "Westie".

I currently have one son at Pomaria Primary, three daughters who have been and gone,  and one more son to come.  My two grandsons also attend Pomaria along with numerous nieces and nephews.  This is my second consecutive term on the Pomaria Board of Trustees but i have served five other terms in the past when my girls were here.

I am extremely passionate about family and education.  I am pleased to be able to represent our community as a member of the Pomaria Board of Trustees.  In my time on the board I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people.  Our management team & staff are truely amazing and I love their enthusiasm and passion for ALL Pomaria Learners to be the best that they can be.  I am proud to be part of our Pomaria whanau.

Our cornerstone values - Turangawaewae, Manaakitanga, Whanaungaatanga & Matauranga are prominent in our school and are wonderful values to instill into our learners and their whanau. As a board we are proud to provide a safe, loving, caring environment with a strong sense of belonging and recognition of individual cultural identities for all our learners. We have a beautiful modern learning environment which allows our Pomaria learners to seek knowledge and absorb all that is offered to them.

I am proud to be part of a reflexible, visionary board who always puts our learners at the forefront of every decision we make.

Together we achieve more

Alana Fraser List (newly elected Staff Representative)
I have had the privilege of being elected as the Staff representative on the Pomaria BOT.  For the last three years I have been able to work with the amazing Pomaria learners before that I have worked in other West Auckland schools for a total of 18 years.  As I like to tell everyone my husband is a chef by trade but left working in restaurants to train up and coming chefs.  Along with him I have two teenage boys who keep my days busy with their various sporting pursuits.  I am looking forward to the new challenge being a Pomaria Board member has to offer and hope that I perform my role to the best of my ability

Jeremy Clough

Elected Parent Representative

Hello
My name is Jeremy Clough.  My background is commerce based, managing stock levels and system developments for various companies in both north and south islands throughout my career.  I am looking to help bring this system and process understanding to the board and school governance.

The connection to Pomaria comes from my two awesome boys, now aged 7 and 5.  Previously I was fortunate enough to be able to see the boys after schools most days, but changes have meant that is no longer possible.  So I look now to have a connection with them through being on the board.

I stood for the board of trustees for Pomaria to bring a different perspective to the management of the school, and to be more directly involved in the school my children go to.  The previous board and the existing staff have made the school an amazing place for learners, and I hope to help with the guidance and direction of the school in a way that furthers the significant achievements already made.

Yours sincerely
Jeremy Clough

Patrick Moore

Elected Parent Representative

Patrick  Moore-(newly elected Board member)
My name is Patrick Moore. I work in the IT sector and have lived on and off in West Auckland for the last sixteen years. I am the proud father of two girls, with the eldest in year 3 at Pomaria Primary. During her time here I have witnessed the commitment of the whole Pomaria community to teaching and guiding their learners, not only academically but in all areas of their life.
I have put my name forward for the board of trustees in order to help in any way I can with Pomaria’s efforts to achieve its goals of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Turangawaewae and Matauranga, as well as its drive toward continual growth and self-improvement.
