Corona Virus Update

Kia Ora whanau,
IMPORTANT: Balance learning 👩💻 and Well-being 😓

A big thank you for taking the lockdown seriously and doing what we have been asked – we’ve seen before that staying at home will break the chain of transmission and save lives. It is even more important that we all follow the health advice because the Delta variant is very contagious.

As announced earlier this evening, we will remain at Alert level 4 until Tuesday 31 August 2021, this will be reviewed on the Monday prior to determine whether we will move levels. In the meantime, our teachers are engaging in distance learning using the two digital platforms viz. Zoom and Class Dojo. For learners who don’t have access to digital devices, teachers have prepared learning packs.

All learning packs will be ready for distribution on Wednesday 25 August 2021 between 10.00am and 12.00pm ONLY. Here’s the plan for contactless distribution of learning packs.

Drive through/walk ups:

Wednesday 25 AUGUST FROM 10.00 am to 12.00pm ONLY

  • Please drive into our school/walk in following the directions at the gate.

  • Please wear your mask and sanitise your hands on entry.

  • Only one person per family is allowed to walk up/drive up to collect the learning pack(s). Please make sure that you know your child(s) room number / name of your child/children’s teacher.

  • Please remain in your car/behind the line as one of our staff will bring the pack(s) out to you.

  • Please maintain a social distance of least 2m between yourself and the person behind you.

  • Give us a wave and move on swiftly for the next person to collect their packs.

  • There is to be no group meetings outside the school to ensure that our whanau and

    families are kept safe.

  • If you have any queries, call us at school between 10am and 12.00pm on Wednesday 25 August (09 8364919) or send an email to your child’s teacher as the first port of call.

Breaking the rules risks the health of those close to you, the wider community and could result in the lock down period being extended.
Please remember that the school playground and grounds remain closed at Alert Level 4.

As always, please let us know if there is anything you need to support you and your tamariki during this time.

    Nga mihi
