Paper 4 Trees Programme
Paper4trees - Recycling Pomaria Primary School Learners have been recycling paper and cardboard. The recycled materials are collected into classroom bins provided by The paper4trees Programme. Once the bins are fill, the Learners bundle the materials together with string and they are put at the school gate for collection every fortnight or in the Large Recycling bin. Last year Pomaria School received their first five free trees sponsored by Fonterra. We celebrated the incredible work of the recycling team at School Assembly. We took this opportunity to promote the importance of recycling. If we do our Duty, we will make the world a better place to live in. The Pomaria community would like to thank The paper4trees Programme for the wonderful native trees and for providing the green bins for recycling. Most of all we would like to thank Fonterra for making the Paper 4 Trees Programme possible. We hope in the future the trees will be planted into the new Corner Stone garden or be part of our future native garden for Learners to explore.
